Britain denounces Russian accusations about Nord Stream, describing it as an attempt to divert attention... European demands not to allow Ukraine to determine the fate of mankind

The British Ministry of Defense has condemned accusations by the Russian Ministry of Defense of the British Royal Navy's involvement in last month's explosions in two gas pipelines (Nord Stream) in the Baltic Sea, describing the accusations as "a distraction" from what it said was the "disastrous management" of the Russian military operation. in Ukraine.
"To divert attention from their disastrous management of the illegal invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense has resorted to widespread dissemination of false allegations," the British Defense wrote in a tweet via its official account on the micro-blogging site (Twitter).
"This fabricated narrative says more about the differences within the Russian government than it does about the West," she added.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense had said - earlier today - that it had obtained information that representatives of the British Navy participated in "the planning, organization and execution of the terrorist act in the Baltic Sea on September 26, 2022 with the bombing of the gas pipelines Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2." .

On the other hand, the former president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Pierre Lelouch, called on Ukraine not to be dependent on Ukraine in setting the date for ending the conflict, and thus making a decision on behalf of the whole world.

Lelouch indicated in an interview with Le Figaro newspaper that Western leaders agree not to allow a direct clash between NATO and Russia, but by providing Ukraine with weapons and financial support, they have made the Allies a party to the conflict.

"Ukraine cannot be left alone to decide when this should all stop," Lelouch said. "This conflict has turned into a global conflict with consequences for the economy, energy, food and geopolitics across the planet."

The politician believes that the continuation of the armed confrontation threatens the use of nuclear weapons by Russia, and hence the American response. "In that case, we would be very close to a global nuclear catastrophe," he added.

But at the same time, he admitted, the parties are showing restraint. Russia does not bomb supply routes from Poland, and the United States does not supply Ukraine with tanks, combat aircraft and long-range missiles.

At the same time, he stressed that the conflict is characterized by a "hell dynamic" and the situation could change at any moment. What we are currently witnessing is that the whole West is facing Russia, while Ukraine refuses to negotiate and calls for a cease-fire are synonymous with betrayal. This threatens the world with catastrophe, Lelouch warned.

"It is prudent that we urgently search for secret channels of communication with the Kremlin in order to prepare for de-escalation," he added.
