Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein begins an official visit tomorrow to Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the European Union and the headquarters of NATO

The Cooperation Council between the European Union and Iraq holds its third meeting today in Brussels. The meeting is chaired by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, with the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein. On his agenda: the latest developments in the region; trade and energy; immigration; Human rights and development cooperation. The program of the visit includes meetings that the Iraqi official will hold with a number of officials at the headquarters of the executive body of the European Union "the Commission" and the headquarters of the international military organization "NATO".
For its part, the European Commission in Brussels announced that the Commissioner for International Partnerships, Mrs. Jutta Orbelinen, will receive Mr. Fuad Hussein, the Iraqi Foreign Minister, tomorrow, Monday.
In a separate statement, NATO Headquarters announced that on Monday afternoon, March 20, 2023, the Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Mr. Fuad Hussein, at NATO Headquarters. They will make press statements at the beginning of their meeting.
