The summit of the European political group .. sends more than one message to Moscow

Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
During his speech at the European Political Group summit held Thursday in Moldova, Josep Borrell, the European Union's foreign and security policy coordinator, said, "I hope that having so many leaders here, so close to Ukraine a few kilometers from the border, will send a strong message about The unity of many countries - not only the European Union, but other countries - in defending the international system, in defending the right of the people to defend the sovereignty of their states.
A statement issued in Brussels on Thursday night quoted Borrell as saying, "It is important that this message reaches Russia. Russia is not here, not because we do not want to invite Russia, but because Putin's Russia has excluded [itself] from this society by launching these attacks, these War - unjustified - against Ukraine.
We have to work on three words: first, better communication between the members of this political community; secondly, [in] the stability of our continent—we have a lot of problems in the Balkans—; And the third, [for insurance]. Stability, connectivity and security, these are the three key words of this meeting from the point of view of building a common EU foreign policy.
For her part, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the European Political Community summit is "a clear expression of our unity, strength and determination to work together as one family."
Sandu stressed - at the opening of the plenary session of the summit of the European Political Group in the village of Bulbuaca, Moldova, on Thursday - that "the family remains united, and works together to address common problems, one European family in which countries from inside and outside the European Union work together to deter aggression and consolidate peace on the continent." .
Sandu noted that in the next few hours, the participants of the event will hold a strategic discussion on "how we should strengthen security on our continent and deal with the consequences of the Russian war in Ukraine," according to Moldovan state news agency Moldpress.
"We will also look for ways to address the energy and climate crises. Everyone must move towards a cleaner and safer pan-European energy system. Everyone must accelerate the transition to renewable energy, diversify our energy supplies and better protect our critical infrastructure and power grids," she added.
The President of Moldova stressed that she could not accept the idea that the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity were no longer important
She said, "We cannot accept that our citizens become refugees overnight, when another country decides to invade its neighbor. We cannot tell our people and local companies that we are not sure of the energy supply. Every individual we have has the power to determine our destinies for Moldova. This means being part of the free world, to have an active role in the European political community, to join the European Union and to work together to build a stronger Europe.
