Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
NATO headquarters in Brussels said on Monday that during the period from September 6 to 8, 2023, NATO Deputy Secretary-General Mircea Geoana will visit Israel. According to a statement by the alliance, on the first day of the visit, on Wednesday, Mr. Giwana will hold a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Yoav Gallant.
On the same day, Mr. Geoanna will also visit the Technion Sarona campus in Tel Aviv, where he will meet with faculty members and hold a roundtable discussion with business leaders.
The following Thursday, Mr. Geoanna will visit Yad Vashem, the International Holocaust Remembrance Center, where he will participate in a memorial service. Also on Thursday, Mr. Geoanna will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, followed by a bilateral meeting with The President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog. He will also visit the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.
On the third and final day, "Friday", Mr. Jewana will meet with the ambassadors of the NATO countries accredited to Israel.
