Regarding the final statement, it said: “In confirmation of the statement of its members issued on October 15, 2023, the European Council reiterates its condemnation in the strongest possible terms of the Hamas movement for its brutal and indiscriminate terrorist attacks throughout Israel. The use of civilians as human shields by Hamas is a particularly deplorable act of barbarity.”
The European Council strongly affirms Israel's right to defend itself in accordance with international law and international humanitarian law. He reiterates his call on Hamas to immediately release all hostages without any preconditions.
