Today, Thursday, the fans of the final match of Khaleeji 25 began to withdraw from the streets leading to the Sports City, after the opening of the port stadium for them.

And she pointed out that "dozens of screens have been deployed in public squares in Basra Governorate, so that the fans can watch the match."

She added, "The masses have begun to withdraw from the streets leading to the Sports City."

And the Iraqi Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, announced today, Thursday, the closure of the gates to the Trunk of the Palm stadium, after it was filled with fans.

Al-Shammari said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the gates of the Trunk of the Palm stadium were closed, after it was filled with fans."

He added, "No one will be allowed to enter after the stadium gates are closed."
Today, Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior issued an appeal to the fans of the 25th Gulf Championship final, calling on citizens to adhere to the regulations and instructions issued by the security forces.

The director of information and public relations in the ministry, Major General Saad Maan, said, in a statement, reported by the Iraqi News Agency, "INA": "Citizens in Basra should not go to the stadium unless they have tickets for the match."

He added, "The numbers of fans are very large, and we do not want there to be cases of suffocation, and the pressure will be doubled on the security forces," calling on the fans to "commit to the organization and instructions issued by the security forces, and it is possible to watch the match in public places."

And an Iraqi medical source reported today, Thursday, that one death and 60 injuries had been recorded among the fans as a result of the stampede in the vicinity of the Palm Stem Stadium in Basra, Iraq.

The source told the Iraqi News Agency, "INA", that "the stampede between the fans in the vicinity of the Trunk Al-Nakhla Stadium in Basra Governorate led to the death of one person and the injury of 60 people."
The source added, "There are critical cases among the injured."

Today, Thursday, the sports city in Basra is witnessing the Iraqi national team’s match against its Omani brother in the final of the 25th edition of the Arab Gulf Cup, which started on the sixth of this month, with the participation of eight teams: Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, the Emirates and Yemen.
