Damascus and Riyadh officially announce the resumption of consular services and flights between the two countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Syria have expressed their welcome to start procedures for resuming consular services and flights between the two countries.

The statement issued by the Saudi and Syrian sides at the end of the visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad to the Kingdom stated that the Syrian minister expressed his country's appreciation for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to end the Syrian crisis, and its provision of humanitarian and relief aid to those affected by the earthquakes that struck Syria.

Minister Al-Miqdad arrived Wednesday in the Saudi city of Jeddah on a working visit at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan.
