UNRWA, the United Nations Agency, which provides Palestinian refugees, has suspended its work in Rafah. This happened after Israel entered the city located in the southern Gaza Strip. Philip Lazarini, the organization's president, wrote this on X X (formerly Twitter).
"UNRWA was forced to suspend all health services and other vital services," Lazarini wrote. The organization will continue its work in Khan Yunis in the central Gaza Strip.
Lazarini also said that all 36 support points of UNRWA in the city of Rafah are empty. Several refugees went to Jabalia in northern Gaza, where people reside, according to the rubble and the devastating relief agency facilities.
"More than a million people - most of whom were displaced several times - had to escape again in search of safety that they never found," European media reported in Brussels in Lazarini's publication.
