
More than 4 tons of cocaine bound for Europe from South America, worth $200 million, seized

4.4 tons of cocaine were intercepted in the South American country of Guyana. Local authorities announced this on Sunday. The drugs were intended for export to Europe. According to what Belgian newspapers reported this morning from the Belgian News Agency, the cocaine has a market value of more than 200 million US dollars, and was located in underground hideouts near the border with Venezuela.
The drugs were scheduled to be transported to Europe by boat "across the sea".
