Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The European-Palestinian Initiative Against Apartheid and Settlements announced the completion of preparations for the European Conference Against Apartheid, Settlements and Genocide, which will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on Saturday, October 19. According to a statement we received a copy of, the conference organizing committee reported that a wide range of European political and human rights figures will participate in the conference, including members of European and local parliaments, representatives of institutions and organizations, and activists from European civil society.

In addition to the attendance of Palestinian and Arab figures and activists from various academic, media, and economic sectors.

The organizing committee confirmed that the conference aims to launch a European campaign against Israeli apartheid, settlement policies, and genocide, and seeks to build a European-Palestinian-Arab alliance to end apartheid and settler colonialism, focusing on three main tracks: political, legal, and civil society.
These efforts aim to pressure European governments and parliaments to take practical positions against the Israeli apartheid regime and colonial occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories, support recognition of the State of Palestine, and push for accountability of the Israeli apartheid state in the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and European courts.
