The Egyptian Ambassador to Brussels presents his credentials to the King of Belgium

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, Ambassador of Egypt to the Kingdom of Belgium, presented his credentials today, November 19, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium, to King Philippe, King of Belgium, at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
During the meeting that brought him together with His Majesty King Philippe after the end of the credential presentation ceremony, Ambassador Abu Zeid was keen to convey the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to the King of Belgium, and the Egyptian leadership's appreciation for the distinguished and special relations that have brought the two countries together over 120 years of diplomatic relations.
During the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador also praised the continuous development witnessed by the files of bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Belgium, especially in the fields of investment, construction, renewable energy, educational and cultural cooperation, as well as Egypt's appreciation for the honorable and principled positions adopted by Belgium in support of Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.
For his part, King Philippe welcomed the Egyptian Ambassador, hoping to convey his greetings to His Excellency President Sisi, and expressing his happiness with his previous visit to Egypt and the successive visits of the Belgian royal family to Egypt throughout the ages. His Majesty the King was also keen to discuss various aspects of Egyptian-Belgian relations during the meeting, and listen to the new Egyptian Ambassador's plans to develop them, wishing him a pleasant stay in his country and success in performing his duties
