Cairo: Europe and the Arabs
Mr. Abu Khudair, a prominent figure in the Egyptian community in Belgium, said in a written statement to the "Europe and the Arabs" website that, in a unique initiative undertaken by the military establishment, the Military Academy for Strategic Studies signed a cooperation protocol with the General Union of Egyptians Abroad to hold training courses on national security strategies via Zoom.
The lectures were delivered by a group of Armed Forces staff leaders known for their combat prowess, some of whom attended the glorious October War.
The lectures were well-received by the students, and we hope to repeat the experience with other courses to spread national awareness among expatriates and future generations.
It is worth noting that at the end of last January, the official website of the Armed Forces' military spokesman announced a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs and the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces...
He said in a statement on Facebook: "In the framework of the Armed Forces' commitment to strengthening the spirit of loyalty and belonging among successive generations of Egyptians abroad and providing them with all forms of support and care, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs signed a cooperation protocol with the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces." The protocol aims to introduce Egyptians abroad to Egyptian civilization, history, culture, and societal values, as well as to organize seminars, camps, workshops, and field visits to projects and achievements of the Egyptian state in various fields.
Major General Osama Abdel Hamid Daoud, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the continued support of the General Command of the Armed Forces to enhance cooperation and deepen the spirit of loyalty and belonging among Egyptians. This support is achieved through the implementation of awareness-raising and educational activities for Egyptian youth abroad.
For his part, Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, expressed his happiness with the cooperation with the Armed Forces, stressing the keenness of the various state agencies to coordinate among themselves to care for our children abroad, considering them the future of the nation in its internal and external affairs.
