Cairo: Foreign Minister Participates in Launch of Cultural Salon for Egyptians Abroad

Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, participated yesterday, Wednesday, October 29, in the launch of the Cultural Salon for Egyptians Abroad. Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, the salon is part of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen communication with Egyptians abroad and provide a space for dialogue and discussion with Egyptian communities abroad on various topics. These topics include culture, cinema, arts, literature, politics, economics, tourism, antiquities, sports, and social work. The Cultural Salon serves as a platform for dialogue and interaction with Egyptian communities abroad, contributing to connecting them with their homeland and keeping them informed of developments in cultural, artistic, and economic life in Egypt on a regular basis. This is achieved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs inviting prominent Egyptian public figures, including politicians, leading thinkers, intellectuals, artists, prominent sports figures, and business leaders, to engage in dialogue with the Egyptian communities.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo stated on its social media accounts: "In this context, the Cultural Salon for Egyptians Abroad held its first meeting, hosting the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs. The meeting was moderated by Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs, in an open dialogue with members of Egyptian communities residing abroad. Heads of diplomatic and consular missions abroad also participated in the Cultural Salon.
In his address and dialogue with the Egyptian communities abroad, the Minister discussed the most prominent aspects of Egypt's foreign policy, diplomatic work, and the challenges surrounding Egyptian foreign policy in its regional and international context. He also addressed the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs to serve Egyptians abroad, in implementation of the political leadership's directives to provide all forms of support and care to Egyptian communities abroad.
Furthermore, the Cultural Salon provided an opportunity for participants from the Egyptian communities abroad to interact directly with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs, where they posed numerous questions and inquiries to him regarding policy." Egypt’s foreign policy and its regional and international moves to restore security and stability in the Middle East region. The Minister also interacted with the proposals and inquiries raised by members of the Egyptian communities abroad regarding the services provided to Egyptians abroad.
