The Egyptian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Emad Hanna, received a group of prominent members of the Egyptian community in the Netherlands at the embassy in The Hague, coinciding with the start of the first phase of voting for Egyptians abroad in the Egyptian parliamentary elections. According to the embassy's social media posts, the ambassador emphasized during the meeting the Egyptian state's commitment to enabling its citizens abroad to exercise their constitutional right to elect their representatives. He praised the awareness of the community members in the Netherlands and their consistent eagerness to participate actively in various national events.
The ambassador and the attendees discussed several topics of mutual interest and listened to their opinions and suggestions on ways to enhance communication with the community, particularly the second and third generations. They also explored mechanisms to support their valuable contributions to national development efforts.
The attendees expressed their appreciation for the Egyptian state's attention to its expatriate citizens and the initiatives it has launched to strengthen ties with their homeland. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to the members of the Egyptian community in the Netherlands for their keenness to actively participate in public life, affirming that the Embassy will remain a home for every Egyptian and a supportive umbrella for all that contributes to the advancement of the nation and the protection of the interests of its citizens abroad.
In response, the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Community in the Netherlands extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Ambassador Emad Hanna, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him during his meeting with members of the community, coinciding with the launch of the first phase of the Egyptian parliamentary elections for Egyptians abroad.
