Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Belgium and the European Union, visited the Busworld 2025 Bus Exhibition in the Belgian capital, Brussels. He was accompanied by Minister Plenipotentiary Nasser Hamed, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office at the Embassy, ​​where he inspected the pavilions of the seven Egyptian companies participating in the exhibition.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Embassy in Brussels on Sunday, Ambassador Abu Zeid praised the diverse fields and activities of the exhibiting companies, which range from the complete manufacturing of buses, starting with design, bodies, and environmentally friendly engines powered by electricity and green hydrogen, with a local component ratio exceeding 50%, to feed industries, spare parts, seating solutions, and cooling.
The Egyptian Ambassador expressed his pride in the growing competitiveness of the exhibiting Egyptian companies and their success in proving their worth and distinction among the world's production giants and competing in this important industrial sector. He also expressed his appreciation for the integration of national industries and the interdependence of Egyptian companies.
He added that, as Egypt's ambassador to the European Union, what he witnessed during the exhibition confirms the utmost importance of strengthening the position of Egyptian companies within European production chains. He added that the ability of Egyptian companies to export buses according to the latest international standards for public and private transport operators in European countries such as Belgium, Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom is a significant testament to the quality and efficiency of Egyptian products and aligns with the Egyptian state's commitment to supporting the localization of industries and boosting Egyptian exports.
It is also worth noting the participation of MCV and Geoshi companies in the exhibition with buses of various sizes operating on various environmentally friendly fuel systems. Autocool also participated with various models of cooling, heating, and air conditioning solutions. El-Teriak specializes in electrical systems, batteries, and cooling. Trust also offers seating solutions with various specifications suitable for different buses. Rock Steel and Alu Africa also specialize in manufacturing aluminum and alloys used in bus body manufacturing. Busworld has been one of the world's most important exhibitions for buses, tourist transport, and their feeder industries since its inception in 1971. The current edition of the exhibition features 554 companies from more than 40 countries worldwide.
