The European Union decides to impose new sanctions on Russia

The European Union on Wednesday approved new sanctions against Russia, including caps on the prices of Russian crude oil and refined products.

The European "Euronews" network stated that the new sanctions include a new ban on exports and imports, in addition to a completely new clause that prevents European Union citizens from sitting on the boards of directors of state-owned companies in Russia, and this decision comes as a direct response to the Russian annexation of four Ukrainian regions.

Earlier today, Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the instrument of ratification of the agreements on the accession of the republics of "Donetsk" and "Luhansk" and "Kherson" and "Zaporgia" regions to the Russian Federation.
