In response to some of the most impactful cyberattacks to date and the chain of threats to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) supply chains, Member States have agreed to the conclusions of the Council of the Union that contribute to enhancing the security of ICT assets in the European Union.
A European statement in Brussels said, “This urgent call to action was driven by the current geopolitical conditions, the disruptive nature of supply chain attacks and the growing dependence of our society on digital technologies. The call aims to enhance the security of the ICT supply chain, and is also a first step to countering the threats of unwanted strategic dependencies. in ICT supply chains.
