The European Union will host the 7th Brussels Conference on “Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region” on 14-15 June 2023.
According to a European statement issued in Brussels today, Thursday, the Brussels conferences aim to achieve the dual objective of mobilizing humanitarian and financial aid for the Syrian people - those living in Syria as well as in neighboring countries - and for host communities in the wider region, while mobilizing the international community to support a comprehensive plan and a political solution. authoritative for the Syrian conflict, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
The ministerial meeting of the conference will take place on June 15 at the European Council building in Brussels and will be followed by the opening speech of the High Representative of the Union Josep Borrell, statements from the countries hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees in the region.
  The foreign ministers will then hold a political debate on multiple aspects of the Syrian crisis and funding pledges will be announced.
