The German counselor Olaf Schultz is on the end of the week on an official visit to three Gulf countries, especially Saudi Arabia, and on his agenda, the energy crisis, according to his spokesman on Monday.

Stephen Hipsterit said during a routine press conference that the advisor who is his tour accompanied by a delegation of senior representatives of a number of economic sectors, will visit Saudi Arabia on Saturday, then the United Arab Emirates and Qatar on Sunday, before returning in the evening to Berlin.

The speaker has not separated the topics that the talks will address, but the energy crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine will be topped by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He only said in response to a question, "It will be surprising that this topic will not be discussed specifically."

In Saudi Arabia, the second oil producing country in the world after the United States, Schultz will meet King Salman "if his health allows this" and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who faced a wave of condemnation and boycott after the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at his country's consulate in Istanbul less than four years ago .

A US CIA report concluded that the Kingdom's actual ruler "authorized" the Khashoggi killing, but Riyadh denies this, indicating the involvement of rogue elements in the horrific crime.

After a boycott, Muhammad bin Salman returns to the international scene with US President Joe Biden in mid -July and his visit to France at the end of the same month, when President Emmanuel Macron met.

"The Khashoggi murder will definitely occupy a space of discussions," a spokesman for Schultz confirmed.

The advisor will meet Sunday, President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed, before he meets in the afternoon with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

In March and the UAE, German Economy Minister Robert Habik visited Qatar and the UAE in search of alternatives to Russian gas, which constituted 55% of gas imports in Germany before the war in Ukraine.

The German Central Bank warned on Monday that the supply status after imports from Russia stopped "will be very difficult in the coming months," noting that the possibility of a contraction in the largest European economy.
