The Syndicate of Journalists in the Netherlands and civil society organizations condemned the threats that reached dozens of journalists, and this came after those concerned with the protection of journalists in the Netherlands published a report regarding the exposure of more than 25 Dutch journalists to threats from various sides
Trouw newspaper published the aforementioned report, which indicates that the security services have installed alarms and cameras to ensure the security and protection of media men and women in the Netherlands.
A video has been published documenting real threats against journalist Merrill, who specializes in political commentaries in Parliament. As working for the TV channel “Heart of Holland”.
Merrill addressed in her program the populist party led by Bode, which is known for its hostility to foreigners, especially Arabs and Muslims among them.
The report refers to threats issued by the other populist party, led by Islamophobic Geert Wilders, whose supporters rely on social networks to spread their hatred and hatred for journalists who express other positions that are not in line with their anti-foreign political positions.
