US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the results of the upcoming midterm elections for Congress will not, in principle, affect US support for Ukraine.
"So far we've seen bipartisan support for Ukraine," Blinken said in an interview with the Canadian CBS channel, in response to a question about the possibility of reducing US support for Kiev in the event the Democrats lose control of the House of Representatives.

He noted that Republicans and Democrats are determined to support Ukraine.

He continued, "I don't expect that to change drastically. No one can predict the future, but based on what we've seen so far, I think the support is there and it's consistent, and it's bipartisan."

It is noteworthy that the volume of US military aid to Ukraine provided by Washington amounted to more than 18 billion dollars.
On the other hand, US Deputy Secretary of State Bonnie Jenkins announced that Washington is discussing with Moscow the possible dates for resuming mutual inspections within the framework of the START-3 treaty.

"We are studying the dates now to meet the Russians and discuss resuming inspections," Jenkins said during a seminar in Washington, Thursday.
And she continued: "Therefore, we are committed to continuing to implement" START-3, "noting that Moscow continues to submit notes to Washington regarding actions subject to the effect of the treaty.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, announced in late September that Moscow and Washington were studying the possibility of holding a session of the joint advisory committee on the treaty.
