The Iraqi government intends to reorganize trade and markets and launch a new package of reforms

The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basem Al-Awadi, confirmed that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani insisted on reorganizing Iraqi trade and controlling markets in a new way.
Al-Awadi said - in a statement to the Iraqi (Al-Ikhbariya) channel today, Tuesday, that the government is determined to implement a package of new reforms, in addition to the other package that was launched during the past months.

The spokesman added, "Since 2003 until now, more than 20 years have passed, the commercial market, the mechanisms of dealing in the central bank, the sale of currency, and trade are proceeding according to a specific system, but this system began to lag and is linked to the global political file and developments in the region, and therefore the correction process must take place immediately."
Yesterday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein confirmed that the visit of the Iraqi delegation to Washington was aimed at strengthening economic cooperation in various fields.
 
And the Iraqi Foreign Minister said - according to the Iraqi News Agency on Monday that the visit discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation for the first time .. denying the circulating reports about imposing conditions on the Iraqi delegation during its visit to Washington.
 
He added that "the Iraqi delegation to Washington included many economic, financial and energy sectors, and its goal was purely economic." He explained that the Iraqi reserves exceeded $100 billion, noting that the Iraqi currency is strong and has an economic and oil cover.
 
The Iraqi foreign minister said that monetary policy was also part of the agenda of the Iraqi delegation's visit to Washington
