Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
In the midst of the exceptional circumstances that Iran has been going through since the start of the September uprising, and with the escalation of violence practiced by state agencies against women on the one hand, and the spread of strange social phenomena, including mysterious cases of poisoning to which many schoolgirls are exposed throughout Iran, and a few days before the day A large international conference was held in Brussels to express support for the ongoing uprising of the Iranian people and highlight the leadership role of women in the uprising. According to a statement issued by the Iranian opposition "People's Mujahedin" of which we received a copy.
And as the statement stated, "The conference was attended by the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, via video. Iranian feminist communities in Europe, former political prisoners and Iranian activists who recently escaped from Iran.
The international community, especially the European Union, to take serious practical steps to support the new revolution of the Iranian people (the September uprising) and to recognize the right of the demonstrators to resist the ruling regime that is hostile to women. They also demanded that the Revolutionary Guard of the mullahs' regime be classified as a terrorist organization by the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi delivered a speech in which she called on the United Nations and relevant bodies such as UNICEF and the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women to investigate the crimes committed by the mullahs' ruling regime in Iran against women.
Mrs. Rajavi said in her speech: "On International Women's Day, we pay tribute to the women leaders in the front row of the Iranian uprising and the brave girls in the resistance units, and we pay our respects to the 81 women who were martyred in the uprising, the first of whom was Mahsa Amini and the last of whom was Zarbi B. Ismail Zahi in Zahedan."
She added, "Today, we must first sympathize with schoolgirls and with their sad mothers and fathers because of the repeated cases of poisoning that female students have been exposed to in different cities and parts of Iran, and we salute and appreciate their stance and protest against the criminal regime. The poisoning operations that have been going on for three months have not left any traces of harm." There is room for suspicion that these crimes are organized and these crimes are carried out according to orders. Khamenei's entourage is taking revenge on the girls of Iran who played an important role in the recent uprising and wants to intimidate them. Once again, I call on the United Nations, especially relevant bodies such as UNICEF and the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women, to investigate and respond. Seriously."
Mrs. Rajavi added: "During the current uprising, 204 universities took part in the protests, and in most cases female students were at the forefront of the ranks of the demonstrators. Among the 1,776 schools whose students joined the uprisings, 1,186 were girls' schools. The heroism of Iranian women in the uprising amazed the world, and even yesterday There was silence about the role of women martyrs in Iran in Evin and Kohardasht prisons, more than 100 Khomeini torture centers and the homes of women who were executed in 1981, or the girls who refused even to mention their names to the regime's executioners and were executed in June of the same year. Along the path of women's leadership, the rising women provided a new interpretation of life."
And she emphasized by saying: "In this uprising, Iranian women did not say (no) to compulsory hijab), but also to unjust dictatorial rule of any kind, whether it was the Shah's regime or the mullahs' regime. Shah Reza Pahlavi forcibly removed the veil from women's heads, while Khomeini put it by force on the heads of all women, so the issue then is to be forced to accept the things imposed by the dictatorship that contradicts the freedom of choice.
For her part, the former director of public relations in the White House, Mrs. Linda Chavez, confirmed in her speech during the conference: "Decades ago, there was an organization that fought the regime, and it is of course the People's Mujahedin Organization, which is led by a woman activist. Maryam Rajavi has been the leader of this organization for decades. She was one of the people who fearlessly stood up to the ruling regime in Tehran, but Mrs. Rajavi was not the only leader, she was the first to say that she is not just one person, not one woman, because behind her are tens, hundreds and thousands of women who are part of this resistance. .
And she added: "Some have suggested that it might be good to return to the defunct regime, the Shah's regime. Well, I am here to tell you that the Iranian people do not want that. They do not want to be ruled by dictators, whatever their names and qualities are. In the end, it will not be one person or even one." One organization decides the future of Iran, and the future of Iran will be decided by the Iranian people.”
And she continued, "We have seen nearly six months of protests in Iran, but it will take more than just protests to be able to kick out this regime. People must rise up. They must get rid of the religious leaders who have been leading that country for so many years. They must They should say (no) to theocracy, they should say (yes) to democracy, they should say (yes) to the leadership of an organization like the National Council of Resistance of Iran, headed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi who wants to bring freedom and justice to the people of Iran.”
As for the former German Minister of Defense for the period (2019-2021), Mrs. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, she mentioned in a speech she delivered at the conference: “The images coming from Iran make me feel humiliated. I ask myself: Will I have the ability to take to the streets and allow my children to go out to fight the regime? This strength, especially among women in Iran, is a sign of humanity, decisiveness and fortitude that transcends Iran's borders. You are an inspiration to the world. We can do our best to show our support to the Iranian people and tell them that they are Alone, we are with you, every person has the right to decide his life.
She described the ruling regime in Iran as "a murderous regime that supports terrorism. Iran cannot live in peace with its neighbors. It is a weak regime. A regime so afraid that it puts Iranian youth in prison and poisons them. This regime must fall and you are fighting for it. It is not about replacing a dictatorship." In other words, Iran can be an example of peace, freedom and democracy. This is in our interest. This is why we are gathered here today. The international community must stand with the Iranian people. This is our fight. We must stand by them. Tyrants don't understand appeasement, they understand the answer. Only one: no, no, no!
For her part, Dominique Attias, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the European Lawyers Foundation in France, said in her speech: “Iranian women are the forgotten power of the world. Today, Iranian women are leading the struggle. This is the only revealing part of the long struggle that all women in Iran are waging. From all ages, from all regions, generation after generation, the people of Iran are crying out (neither the Shah nor the mullahs). or mullahs).
And she continued: "The mullahs must commit to stopping the hostage-taking policy. This is a terrorist regime. History must remember that. The fighting will continue, it will never stop."
She emphasized: "The struggle continues thanks to women in Iran. I met Maryam Rajavi and these women. They work with incredible efficiency. Maryam Rajavi persevered in her position and devoted her life to this struggle. She was subjected to assassination attempts, but she continued to demand freedom. We must give leadership positions to women who can Trusting them, Maryam Rajavi leads the resistance movement.”
It is noteworthy that among the participants in the conference were Ms. Judy Sgro, a member of the Canadian Parliament, former Minister of Immigration, and Ms. Candice Bergen, former leader of the Canadian Conservative Party (2022), Minister of State for Social Development (2013-2015), and more than a thousand contacted the conference directly.
