Chinese President: We have taken an objective and neutral stance on the Ukrainian crisis

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China has always taken an objective and impartial stance on the Ukraine crisis and is doing its best for peace negotiations and reconciliation between the parties.

The Chinese president added that the relations between Russia and China are based on the principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-direction against third parties.

According to the Russia Today website, he stressed that "the bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing constitute a benchmark for a new type of relations between countries, where Russia and China are constantly working to enhance mutual political trust, and are committed to the concept of eternal friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation."

"The current visit to Russia is aimed at promoting friendship and peace," the Chinese president stressed.

Regarding the Ukrainian crisis, the Chinese president stressed that China has always and consistently taken an objective and impartial stance on the Ukrainian crisis, and is doing its best for peace negotiations and reconciliation between the parties.

He noted that "China's position on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis" reflects the unity of the international community's views on overcoming the Ukrainian crisis.

He also stressed that a rational way out of the Ukrainian conflict and a path to security in the world will be found if everyone continues dialogue and consultations on an equal footing and in a wise manner.
