After paying today with a value of 6 billion euros for Spain, UNHCR has now spent more than 150 billion euros to member states according to what is known as an attachment or recovery and flexibility mechanism (RRF).
And that, according to a statement issued by the European Commission in Brussels Friday, also includes "this is an important milestone in the implementation of RRF, the main tool at the heart of the recovery plan is known as the next European generation of 800 billion euros for Europe.
Within a little more than two years of existence, RRF was leading transformational reforms and investments in the European Union member states, the rapid transformation of green and digital transfers and increased comprehensive flexibility of the Union.
The European statement added that with the continued implementation of RRF at the utmost speed, the Commission today launched an interactive map on the Internet showing the projects supported by RRF and implementing them on the ground by member states. The map will contribute to increasing transparency in the work of RRF and its concrete impact on the citizens of the European Union, companies and civil society.
The map will help users to explore more than 100 reforms that member states have implemented or implemented as part of recovery and flexibility plans, such as Spain's introduction to a new tax on plastic packaging for one use, and simplifying licensing procedures to install renewable energy sources in Greece or anti -corruption repair in Croatia. The same applies to more than 250 investments currently listed on the map, such as launching purchasing procedures for the transportation system in Riga (Latvia), or entering a fixed season ticket to facilitate sustainable public transport in Austria or finish businesses to renew the neighborhood in Slovenia. The statement concluded by saying, "With the implementation of national recovery and flexibility plans, the map will be updated regularly.
Ursula von Deerlin, head of the Commission, commented on this in a tweet on Twitter and said, "This means that hundreds of projects are achieved for the green economy and digitization and more will be achieved through the European Union during the coming period."
