Since mid-2021, the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Egypt have begun preparing a roadmap for the launch of the Strategic Framework for Partnership for Sustainable Development 2023-2027. According to the publication of the United Nations news website on the Internet, he added, "The partnership between the World Food Program and the Egyptian government has created a strong foundation for integration with national programs targeting lower-income communities, such as the Decent Life Program with the aim of improving food security, nutritional and health status for these families through education and improvement Livelihoods and encouragement of modern agriculture.
The World Food Program intends to be guided by these results through the comprehensive plan of the United Nations organizations in Egypt 2023 to 2027 through new partnerships and smart technology and the creation of opportunities for partnership between the private sector and the public sector, which will allow for taking important steps towards achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030.
The UN news correspondent in Egypt shed light on the results of the human capital investment program adopted by the World Food Program, especially in the agricultural sector, and said:
During her visit, accompanied by the United Nations delegation, to Aswan Governorate, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, praised the efforts made, integration and continuous coordination between development partners and UN agencies on the one hand and the concerned national authorities on the other hand, which is reflected in maximizing the return achieved from development cooperation programs, noting that The investment program in human capital is consistent with the government's vision and the "Egypt Takes Off" program, especially those related to the development and investment of human capital. The minister went on to say:
"We are happy with our visit to Aswan Governorate, which comes within the framework of the United Nations Week, during which we visited several governorates, including Minya and Alexandria, and today, Aswan, to inspect and follow up development projects under the umbrella and partnership of United Nations organizations, and we had coordinated with the Resident Representative of the United Nations in Egypt in cooperation with several ministries to implement the strategy New projects from 2023 to 2027, and therefore we decided to pursue several projects related to the development of the human element, whether economic, agricultural or educational, as is the case in community schools in Aswan, and these projects are consistent with the vision of the Egyptian state in the program of a decent life.
The Governor of Aswan, Major General Ashraf Attia, said that the partnership with the World Food Program resulted in a variety of educational and social projects represented in a number of community schools or agricultural projects that enhance the use of modern farming and irrigation methods, adding:
"The projects implemented by United Nations agencies are consistent with the presidential initiative 'A decent life' and are spread over 39 main villages, 102 subsidiary villages and 380 hamlets, and today we see a vivid example of those projects, including those related to community schools, as is the case in the Raghama School in Kom Ombo, these schools Which changed the lives of many by returning to education and even obtaining advanced university degrees. The World Food Program is also implementing several projects to improve agricultural crop productivity, in addition to other projects with UNICEF and UNESCO."
