He emphasized standing by the demand for a democratic republic, separating religion from the state, and not giving privileges based on religion, heredity, or family relationship, pointing to the unity of Iranians around democratic values, and their rejection of all forms of dictatorship.
He praised the ten-point program proposed by the elected President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Maryam Rajavi, which includes the values defended by democratic countries, free elections, freedom of expression and assembly, abolition of the death penalty, gender equality, separation of religion from the state, autonomy for Iranian nationalities, and abandon the nuclear program.
Addressing Rajavi during the “Roadmap to a Democratic Republic in Iran” conference, Senator Giulio Terzi said that “your martyrs sacrificed their lives for justice, peace and security and were an inspiration to all of us,” stressing that “your resistance to religious dictatorship and fascism has been going on for decades and can be seen And getting acquainted with her will in Ashraf” and emphasizing the partnership of destiny.
Representative Pezzola referred to the Iranian regime's embassy's condemnation of his trip to Ashraf, saying that this condemnation is "a badge of honor for us," calling on Italy to unite with the Iranian people, stand against the extortion policy practiced by the mullahs' regime, and base policies on facts, not the Iranian regime's nonsense.
Senator Scoria urged a strong movement in support of the National Council of Resistance, noting that the uprising should be called a revolution, and emphasizing the Iranian people's refusal to return to the past dictatorship.
Maryam Rajavi addressed the online conference, stressing the continuation of the struggle and resistance of the Iranian people against the ruling religious fascism. She referred to the transformation of the uprisings of recent years into a strong and widespread uprising, a turning point in the fate of the rule of the Guardian Jurist, showing its weakness and fragility, and called on Western governments to stand by the Iranian people. Through a radical review of its policy towards Iran, stressing that the great Iranian uprising changed the conditions of Iranian society and the position of the regime in the political scene, and stressing the impossibility of bending the will of the Iranian people to achieve freedom and democracy.
The statement concluded by saying, "The Italian Senate once again demonstrated the bias of free peoples to the demands of the Iranian people, adding its position to the positions of other Western parliaments, which contributed to the isolation of the mullahs' regime, which is unable to maintain its rule in the face of the wave of uprisings, which constitutes an additional impetus for the struggle of Iranians for their rights in Change and the establishment of democratic rule to end decades of dictatorship.
