European Spokesperson: We support the African Union roadmap to resolve the conflict in Sudan

Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Luis Bueno, spokesman for the European Union in the Middle East and North Africa, said in statements on the issue of the situation in Sudan that the unified European bloc supports the African Union roadmap to resolve the conflict.
And the European spokesman published, in a tweet, his statements that he made to Sky News Arabia about Sudan and the position of the European Union regarding this crisis.
Bueno outlined a number of points regarding the European Union's position on efforts to stop the current conflict, saying:
From day one of the conflict, the European Union has mobilized its entire diplomatic apparatus. Our short-term goal is to contribute to a sustainable ceasefire that will enable civilians to find safety and allow humanitarian actors to save their lives and provide the necessary assistance.
We are working with our partners to create a broad-based coalition in this regard and to follow a unified approach. In this context, we welcomed and supported unified and collectively coordinated mediation efforts regionally and internationally, and we fully support the idea of an African leadership organizing these efforts.
We reaffirm our support for the African Union roadmap to resolve the conflict in Sudan and welcome the work of the African Union to establish an expanded mechanism and its core team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated regional and international action to secure a viable peace process and the resumption of the transition to civilian rule and democracy in Sudan.
The main priority now is to work on a unified mediation platform that can lead to a ceasefire and a return to civilian rule that the people of Sudan have demanded since the 2019 revolution.
The European Union's Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber, toured Gulf capitals; Last week it included Saudi Arabia for consultations on Sudan.
We want to return to support the Sudanese transition to democracy, and for this, the war must end.
