It is based on the establishment of a regulatory framework that guarantees a local, sustainable and efficient supply of these raw materials and contributes to European industrial sovereignty.
The sources pointed out that the Spanish presidency will also work to strengthen the European Hydrogen Bank, to lead the future of green hydrogen.
These moves come as the European Union is currently working in full swing to integrate renewable energy sources into the electricity sector. Developing a competitive market for hydrogen and renewable gases.
According to informed European sources, member states face in this context the challenge of updating their integrated national plans for energy and climate to achieve a new, more efficient, renewable and flexible energy model that includes all economic sectors in the way energy is generated, transmitted and consumed.
