Dubai - Addis Ababa: Agencies
The UAE and Ethiopia signed 18 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements in the capital, Addis Ababa.
Yesterday, Friday, Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed attended the signing of memorandums of understanding and agreements.
The "WAM" agency stated that the memorandums and agreements signed by the two sides at the Ethiopian Prime Minister's headquarters included:
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of mutual administrative assistance in customs affairs
- A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of combating terrorism
- A memorandum of understanding on the exchange of experiences in the field of government development and modernization
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of industry and advanced technology
- A joint declaration between the UAE and Ethiopia for cooperation in the field of climate action
- Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Emirates Standard for Good Delivery of Gold
- Memorandum of Understanding between Umlat Security Company and the National Bank of Ethiopia
- Memorandum of Understanding between Al Etihad Export Credit Company PJSC and the Ethiopian Insurance Company
- Memorandum of Understanding between Etihad Export Credit Company PJSC and the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Etihad Export Credit Company and the Ethiopia Development Bank
- A memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ethiopian Investment Authority
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Federation of Sharjah Chambers and the Ethiopian Investment Authority
- Memorandum of Understanding between Abu Dhabi Ports and Ethiopia Investment Holding Company
- Memorandum of Understanding between "DP World" and the Ethiopian Ministry of Transport and Logistics
- Roadmap between Masdar Group and the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance
- A letter of intent between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company "ADNOC" and the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture
- Memorandum of Understanding between Al Dahra Group and the Ethiopian Investment Authority
- Memorandum of Understanding between Talk Investment Company and the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture
UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the head of a delegation from his country, arrived in Ethiopia on an official visit aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries in various aspects.
And the "WAM" agency stated that the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was at the forefront of the president's reception upon his arrival at the airport.
The presidential plane, upon entering Ethiopian airspace, was accompanied by warplanes to celebrate and welcome his visit.
