Within a few hours, US President Joe Biden obtained negative results in a test about the possibility of being infected with the Covid 19 virus, after announcing that his wife had been infected with the virus and obtaining positive results after the test, and then the results of a poll of Americans were announced, which included support for his re-candidacy for a second term, only out of 22 Percent of the participants voted, according to the Middle East News Agency
The majority of American voters said that US President Joe Biden is "too old to run for president," according to a new poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal.
The poll, conducted Aug. 24-30, found that 73% of registered voters think Biden is "too old to run for president," while only 22% said he could run again.
Former US President Donald Trump, who is only three years his junior and is 77, received a more positive rating when the same question was asked to participants, with 47% of those surveyed citing Trump's age as an issue.
According to the American newspaper, one of the biggest difficulties Biden faces in the 2024 presidential race is his age. He is 80 years old now, and he will be 86 at the end of his next term if he is re-elected.
This comes after the White House announced, yesterday, Monday, that First Lady Jill Biden had contracted the Corona virus, with mild symptoms, while President Joe Biden tested negative for the virus.
"After the First Lady tested positive for (Covid 19), President Biden underwent a Covid test this evening. The President tested negative," the White House said.
The last time Biden's 72-year-old wife contracted "Covid 19" was in August last year, while the 80-year-old president last tested positive in July 2022.
Elizabeth Alexander, Director of Communications for the First Lady, said in a statement: The first lady tested positive for (Covid 19). She will stay at home."
