A European speaker uses a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad on the occasion of the International Day of Peace

Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Louis Bueno, spokesman for the European Union in North Africa and the Middle East, used a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad in what he wrote on the X platform (formerly Twitter) on the occasion of the International Day of Peace. It is a hadith that calls for spreading peace in order for love to spread among all.
The European spokesman posted a picture of French President François Mitterrand and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl after decades of wars fought by Germany and France, the two largest European Union countries in terms of military and economic power and population density.
The European spokesman said that the unitary European project succeeded in bringing together countries that had previously fought each other, and the tweet stated:
On #International_PeaceDay we celebrate the European project. The European Union brought together countries that had previously fought each other to work towards common stability and prosperity.
On this occasion, I like this hadith of the Prophet Muhammad: “Shall I not guide you to something that if you did, you would love one another? Spread peace among yourselves.”
The countries of the European continent have repeatedly tried to unite European countries under one banner, and this began since the collapse of the Roman state, which was extending its influence in the region extending around the Mediterranean, and these attempts remained not outside the formal and interim framework, and from the stages that the founding of the European Union went through. 1951 AD, the establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community was initiated by six countries, including France, Germany, and Italy. 1957 AD, the conclusion of the Rome Agreement between the six countries participating in the founding of the European Community, and the establishment of the European Economic Community, which was accompanied by a number of decisions, including the abolition of customs duties. 1973 AD, and the accession of the United Kingdom, Southern Ireland, and Denmark, with the initiation of the first important agreements in the life of the Union, which is agreeing to approve the principle of electing a European Parliament. 1981 AD, Greece joined the Union, approved a quota system for steel production, in addition to creating a unified policy for all countries in the field of fishing, and concluding the Schengen Agreement. 1986 AD, Spain and Portugal joined the Union. 1990 AD, the eastern German part followed the southern part in terms of joining the European Union, and this came after the unification of southern Germany with the eastern part, with the conclusion of an agreement aimed at creating a broad European space. 1992 AD, the conclusion of the Maastricht Agreement, with the declaration of the euro as the unified currency of the Union, with the issuance of a number of decisions such as citizenship of the Union, common security policies, and others. 1995 AD: Austria, Sweden, and Finland join the European Union. 2004 AD, ten countries joined the Union, including Cyprus, Malta, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. 2007 AD, Bulgaria and Romania join.
