The Council of Energy Ministers of the European Union will hold a meeting today in Brussels, and the ministers will exchange views on the situation with regard to security of supply and preparations for the winter of 2024-2025. In this context, they will seek to reach a political agreement on the Council's recommendation to continue coordinated measures to reduce gas demand. According to what was announced by the European Union institutions in Brussels, which said in a statement in this regard, the ministers will also exchange views on flexibility as an essential tool for the energy transition.
Also on the agenda and as part of any other work, the Commission will inform ministers of the progress made by Member States with the aim of achieving the 2030 energy and climate targets.
Ministers will also be briefed on the energy situation in Ukraine by Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushenko (via VTC).Video Conferencing
