House prices in Belgium: The highest numbers in Brussels. With a garden, 410 thousand euros and without a garden, 260 thousand euros.

Today, Thursday, the Belgian Statistics Agency published real estate figures for the entire year 2023, down to the municipal level. The average price of a house in closed or semi-detached buildings in Belgium reached 260 thousand euros, which are houses without a garden. While people paid 369 thousand euros to buy a house in open buildings, that is, there is a green space or a garden from it directly to the sky.
The Brussels Capital Region was the most expensive area. The cost of houses in closed or semi-detached buildings reached 495 thousand euros. For houses in open buildings this was €932,500.
The Walloon region was the cheapest region, with an average price of 176,000 euros for houses in semi-detached or closed buildings and 290,000 euros for houses in open buildings.
In the Flemish region, houses in closed or semi-detached buildings cost €298,120. For houses in open-plan buildings, the price level was €410,000. The Flemish region is the only region where prices rose again for all categories.
Limburg was the cheapest province in the Flemish region and Flemish Brabant was the most expensive. In the Walloon region, the cheapest was Hainaut and the most expensive was Walloon Brabant.
Ixelles was the most expensive municipality for homes. The cheapest houses were located in Hastière.
The most expensive apartments were in Knokke-Heist. The cheapest apartments are found in Kelmes.
The Statistics Department in Belgium said that all the results contained in this press release are based on sale deeds registered with the General Administration for Documentation of Inheritance and Assets.
