Washington - Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Four masked robbers stole $2 million worth of jewelry from a family-owned store in Seattle in 90 seconds. They smashed through the door and display cases, threatened employees with a stun gun and pepper spray, and fled in a getaway car without injury. According to the European news network in Brussels, "Euronews," the Seattle police, located in the northwestern United States in Washington state, near the Canadian border, announced that a group of robbers carried out a quick robbery of a family-owned jewelry store on the afternoon of August 14. The robbery lasted only a minute and a half and resulted in the theft of items valued at an estimated $2 million.
Details of the operation
Police explained that four masked individuals smashed the store's glass door with hammers, then destroyed six display cases and stole their contents. Surveillance cameras captured the moment they broke into the Menashe and Sons Jeweler store in the West Seattle neighborhood. During the operation, the attackers used a stun gun and pepper spray to threaten employees, but no injuries were reported. According to witnesses, the sound of shattering glass echoed in the surrounding area as passersby called the police.
A few minutes later, the robbers fled in a getaway car. Despite a sweep of the area, security forces found no trace of them. Police urged anyone with information to contact their violent crimes hotline.
Value of stolen items
Store Vice President Josh Menashe said the staff was "shocked and shaken" after the incident, confirming that the store would remain closed for a while. He explained that among the stolen items were a collection of Rolex watches valued between $700,000 and $800,000, an emerald necklace with a diamond set in platinum valued at $125,000, and a large amount of gold jewelry.
