Invitation to the King of the Netherlands to Attend the Grand Egyptian Museum Opening Ceremony

As part of preparations for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum early next month, the Egyptian Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, announced that Ambassador Christopher Junker, Director of the Office of His Majesty the King of the Netherlands, received Ambassador Emad Hanna. The latter delivered the invitation from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, to participate in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as a commemorative gift presented to the King of the Netherlands, a miniature model of the Grand Egyptian Museum. According to a post published by the Egyptian Embassy in the Netherlands on its Facebook page, the ambassador added, "During the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador highlighted the special importance of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which reflects Egypt's rich cultural and historical heritage. It also coincides with Egypt's assumption of the position it deserves through the election of Dr. Khaled El-Enany as Director-General of UNESCO.
For his part, the Director of the Office of His Majesty the King of the Netherlands expressed his country's gratitude and appreciation for this invitation. He also praised Egypt's pivotal role in maintaining security and stability in the region, culminating in the signing of the Sharm el-Sheikh Agreement to end the war in Gaza.
It is worth noting that the Grand Egyptian Museum will be inaugurated in the presence of leaders from various countries, including kings, heads of state, and governments. The official opening of the museum will take place in early November, and it will open to the public on the fourth of the same month.
