Intensive diplomatic activity to salvage the ceasefire in Gaza. US Vice President arrives in Tel Aviv amid concerns that Netanyahu will withdraw from or undermine the agreement. Al-Hayeh affirms commitment to implementation.

Gaza - Washington: Europe and the Arabs
The region is witnessing intense diplomatic activity led by the United States to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The New York Times quoted officials in the Trump administration as saying that the White House is making intensive efforts to prevent a renewed war, and that there is growing concern that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will withdraw from the agreement or seek to undermine it.
Vance Arrives in Israel
Meanwhile, Trump's Vice President, J.D. Vance, is joining US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff in Tel Aviv today to monitor and consolidate the truce in Gaza, according to the White House announcement.
Channel 12 reported that Witkoff and Kushner stressed to Netanyahu the need not to do anything that might jeopardize the Gaza agreement, and that they indicated that any such step would be "unacceptable." According to a report by the Brussels-based Euronews website, under the title "Trump Gives Hamas a 'Small Chance'," the website said, "In new statements, Trump said he gave Hamas a 'small chance' to respect the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and 'act nicely,' but at the same time stressed that there is a 'possibility of eliminating it' if it does not comply.
According to the New York Times, the Republican leader believes that the movement's leadership is prepared to continue negotiations in good faith, and that the clashes that occurred in southern Israel two days ago were merely 'rebel groups that went beyond the leadership's instructions.'"
Al-Hayya: We Have No Desire to Keep the Hostages
For his part, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, in an interview with Cairo News Channel in the Egyptian capital, confirmed that there is a determination to continue the ceasefire to the end, and that the movement is working hard to extract all the bodies of the captives, but the process is facing difficulties due to the 'massive scale of destruction.'"
Al-Hayya added regarding the hostages: "We have no ambition or desire for anyone to remain; So that their bodies may be returned to their families, and so that the bodies of our martyrs may be returned to their families as well, and that they may be buried with dignity."
The leader explained that he appreciates the efforts of mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and continued that "the international will and the large demonstration sponsored by Egypt and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, with the attendance of US President Donald Trump, are the guarantee that the war in Gaza has ended."
The Situation on the Ground
On the ground, Palestinian media reported that the eastern areas of Khan Yunis and Gaza City were subjected to intense Israeli artillery shelling toward the border at dawn on Tuesday, describing this as "a new violation of the ceasefire agreement."
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office also announced that the body of the captured soldier Tal Himi, who was handed over by Hamas to the International Red Cross on Monday, had been identified. Channel 12 reported that 15 bodies of hostages remain in the Gaza Strip.
