Doctors Without Borders has sent a medical delegation to the asylum center in ter apel to inspect the health conditions of asylum seekers for whom the Dutch authorities were unable to provide shelter.

The conditions in which the refugees are living are more than tragic, as there are no private facilities such as toilets and showers, and the refugee suffers from several diseases in the complete absence of health care, which prompted the non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders to volunteer to examine the refugees closely and provide them with the necessary treatments in the said center, which the mission compared The media at the Moria refugee center on the Greek island of Lesbos.

A spokesman for the aforementioned medical organization told the Dutch media that many refugees suffer from skin diseases because they have not washed for weeks and have been sleeping in tents in the center's yard that lack the most basic necessities that a person needs. Civil non-governmental organizations have criticized the catastrophic conditions in which the refugees live in the center, and the opposition parties have called on the Secretary of State for Migration and Asylum Affairs to intervene and take responsibility in accommodating refugees, especially since the aforementioned center recently witnessed the death of Jenin in circumstances that were said to be ambiguous, which prompted Some parliamentarians called for an investigation to be conducted to reveal the circumstances that led to the death of the fetus The Dutch parliament demanded an urgent oral session in which the Secretary of State, Mr. Van der Borgh, would attend to investigate the death of a refugee fetus no more than three months old. The fetus has died in the Ter Apel refugee center, in a sports hall where refugees are temporarily assembled. The Inspectorate in charge of health care at the Ministry of Justice called for the necessity of investigating the cause or causes that led to the death of the fetus. As a reminder, the Dutch government is currently suffering from internal and external criticism in its discriminatory treatment of refugees, especially as it provides all possibilities to facilitate the integration of Ukrainians into Dutch society by providing them with work, housing and health care, but it leaves refugees of Arab or African origin without shelter and care. Amnesty International and human rights organizations in Europe have previously, in several reports, condemned the Dutch policy and considered it racist and does not respect the international conventions that guarantee the rights and protection of people
