The Iranian opposition Mojahedin khalq Organization issued a statement on Saturday, and we received a copy of it. The statement said that" after the Belgian government filed a counter-suit against the ruling of the Court of Appeals issued on July 22 to stop the transfer of the terrorist diplomat, the bomber, Assadollah Asadi. To Iran, the court has set November 28, 2022 as the first hearing of the Belgian government's complaint. Knowing that the hearing scheduled for September 19, will take place on time at the Brussels Court of First Instance, where the two parties to the case, i.e. the Iranian Resistance and the Belgian government, will be heard.
The Belgian government, opting to file a counterclaim, claims that it sent an 18-page bill to the council's lawyers; In her new pleading, the plaintiffs' urgent complaint, which led to a ruling to stop Asadi's transfer to the Iranian regime, is not objective; Since there was no intention from the outset to immediately exchange prisoners, and the implementation of the treaty ratified in the Belgian Parliament requires the passage of several other legal steps, such as the signature of the King of Belgium, and the publication of the approved and ratified treaty, in the Official Gazette, To be implemented after 30 days of that, and then diplomatic and official documents will be exchanged with the Iranian regime.
On July 28, the Brussels Court held a hearing to consider the Iranian resistance's request to prevent the extradition and release of the terrorist diplomat Asadollah Asadi, who carried out the bombing. Lawyers for Ms. Maryam Rajoyo, NCRI, international prosecutors, the Prime Minister's lawyer, the Minister of Justice and the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in this meeting.
The court has set September 19, 2022, for the parties' hearing. In this way, the court extended the ban on the return of the terrorist diplomatic bomber to the mullahs' regime until September 19 to consider the objectivity of the plaintiffs' request. The story and what is in it is that the Belgian government had submitted to Parliament two months ago a treaty it had signed with Tehran in March under the title “Extradition of Convicts.”
The Belgian parliament ratified the treaty allowing the exchange of convicted prisoners between the two countries.
On the Iranian side, the clear objective of the treaty was to secure the release of Assadollah Asadi, a high-ranking terrorist diplomat who was sentenced in February 2021 to 20 years in prison, in a Belgian prison; As a result of his role as the mastermind of the 2018 conspiracy against the Iranian Resistance rally in Paris. Fortunately, this plot was thwarted by the cooperation of several European police agencies. But had it proceeded as planned, it would have been the worst terrorist attack on European soil.
Asadi, who was a third advisor at the regime's embassy in Vienna at the time; He personally smuggled 500 grams of high explosive TATP and a detonator to Europe, then handed them and the instructions on where and how to use them to two of the conspirators,” according to the statement of the Iranian Resistance
