Brussels: Europe and Arabs

Belgian police found possible explosives on Friday night near a house in Marxim, in the northern province of Antwerp. Three Dutch suspects were arrested. Supposedly they wanted to carry out another attack on the same house that had been targeted several times before in the context of settling scores in the drug world. There was also a message written in red on the side walls and on the facade.

According to local media, the police identified suspicious activities on Friday night through a portable camera that was hanging in the street for a while. Some of the suspects stayed near the house in Reichshor-Velden in Merksem municipality and put a message on the front with graffiti on the walls. It reads, among other things, "Cocaine".

The rescue team managed to stop a vehicle with a Dutch number plate in the immediate vicinity. Three of the occupants of the car were arrested and taken to the Federal Judicial Police for questioning. The forensic laboratory is conducting an investigation into the impact.

The police also found a possible explosive device nearby. Dovo demining service personnel moved to the site to try to detect the explosives to defuse them. Some homes were evacuated as a precaution. The targeted building is the parental home of Gianni and Giorgi F., according to local media, is a well-known name in the drug world. The two brothers are related to the group surrounding Munir El Bertali, nicknamed Gino. An explosive device exploded in the front yard on Wednesday night without damage.

And last summer, the house was shot twice, and a year ago the family car was set on fire.
