The ambassadors of those countries were keen to attend to confirm the African affiliation and identity of their countries on this day in which the founding of the Organization of African Unity is celebrated on May 25 in the year 1960.
After giving official speeches by the various political and diplomatic figures, the audience wandered among African dishes and learned about various cuisines. The Egyptian pavilion presented well-known Egyptian dishes such as koshari and sweets such as dumplings, hibiscus drinks and sobia. The Moroccan pavilion also presented tagine, couscous and various sweets. Stuffed, as well as couscous, with a hot taste and a different color in the Tunisian pavilion, in addition to a variety of dishes in the kitchens of the rest of the participating Arab countries.
At the entrance of the hotel there was an exhibition by a South African artist called Viva. He said he was happy to participate in this celebration, which affirms the African identity.
