The Russian Foreign Ministry's Special Missions Ambassador, Gennady Askaldovich, said that the West launched more than 170,000 cyber attacks to disrupt the ongoing general elections in Russia.
Askaldovich explained: “There were more than 170,000 cyber attacks by Western countries and their satellites to disrupt the electoral campaign in Russia. For example, the Russian Central Election Commission portal witnessed about 175,000 cyber attacks during the elections in the period between September 8-10.” Current only.”
The ambassador pointed out that the reason behind these attacks was the West's annoyance and extreme dissatisfaction with the successes of the Russian government.
