International organizations only condemned...following the bombing of a hospital in Gaza and a school affiliated with UNRWA.

New York - Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
International organizations were content with statements and statements expressing condemnation of the Israeli bombing of a hospital in Gaza, which caused the death of hundreds of Palestinians and a large number of wounded, in addition to the bombing of a school belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in addition to other practices by Israeli occupation soldiers that have been continuing for more than a week.
According to the publication of the United Nations website, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, condemned the bombing of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which initial reports indicated led to the death of hundreds and the wounding of many others, including women and children.
He also condemned - in a statement attributed to his spokesman - the attack on an UNRWA school earlier Tuesday in the Maghazi refugee camp in Gaza, which led to the killing of at least six people.
The Secretary-General offered his deep condolences to the families of the victims and expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured. He stressed that hospitals, clinics, medical workers, and United Nations facilities are protected under international law.
Below we review some of the international reactions to the killing of hundreds of civilians in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital in northern Gaza.
Global Health Organization
The World Health Organization strongly condemned the attack on social media and then in a press conference it held, Tuesday evening, on the health and humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territory and the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the organization’s regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean region, said that the hospital was operating and had patients, medical workers and displaced people taking shelter there. He stated that it was among 20 hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip that received orders from the Israeli army to evacuate and head south.
He added that implementing these orders is impossible for several reasons, including lack of security and critical conditions for many patients, and the lack of ambulances and alternative shelters for the displaced.
UNICEF
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell issued a statement in which she said, "I am horrified by reports of children and women killed and injured following the attack on Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip this evening."
She stated that the attack confirms the deadly impact that this ongoing war is having on children and families. In just 11 days, hundreds of children tragically lost their lives - not including today's deaths - thousands were injured, and more than 300,000 children were displaced from their homes.
United Nations Population Fund
The Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund in the Arab Countries, Laila Bakr, denounced the bombing of the hospital. She said: "The world must act immediately to end the cycle of violence and protect the innocent. Targeting hospitals, health facilities, and health workers is a crime that should not be tolerated."
Human Rights Office
“I am at a loss for words. Tonight, hundreds of people were tragically killed in a massive bombing on the National Arab (Baptist) Hospital in Gaza City, including patients, health workers and families who were seeking refuge in and around the hospital. Once again, the most vulnerable,” said the UN Commissioner. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk.
He stressed that hospitals are a sacred place, "and must be protected at all costs." "We do not yet know the full extent of this massacre, but what is clear is that the violence and killing must stop immediately," he said.
Peace process coordinator
The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process condemned in the strongest terms the “horrific attack on Baptist Hospital” and expressed his sympathy with the families of the victims.
He reiterated his rejection of attacks against civilians, and stressed that health facilities and their personnel enjoy special protection in accordance with international humanitarian law. He said, "Civilians cannot continue to pay the price. The violence and terror must stop."
