Lavrov: 250 billion euros in losses to European companies due to sanctions against Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov estimated the amount of losses incurred by European companies during the past year and a half due to Western sanctions against Russia at no less than 250 billion euros, pointing out that the sanctions imposed on Russia exacerbated the developments of the crisis in the global economy.
The Russian TASS news agency quoted Lavrov as saying: “The sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia will not disappear in the long term, as the West intends to destroy the global economy by teaching Moscow a lesson by preventing it from playing a role in the international arena.” He added: “We We are fully aware that the sanctions imposed on us will not disappear, neither in the foreseeable future nor in the long term, as their authors also mentioned,” according to what was reported by the Middle East News Agency and published by the Youm 7 news website in Cairo.
On another level, the Russian Foreign Minister said: “Russia has been able to change and expand the geography of energy exports, and the country is implementing reforms and strengthening its sovereignty in the energy sector.” He added: “We are generally engaged in our fuel and energy reforms and strengthening the sovereignty of this industry, from Technologically, in terms of personnel and finance, we have developed a new export geography and are effectively mastering it with good results,” the Russian TASS news agency reported.
The Russian Foreign Minister pointed out that Moscow was able in a very short time to transfer supplies of oil, gas and coal to promising, fast-growing markets, primarily India, China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific and South America regions, saying: “We know that supplies from our country allow our partners By curbing the rise in prices of energy raw materials and thus enhancing economic stability.”
