After the American veto in the Security Council... Russia: It is an effective license to kill Palestinian civilians in Gaza

New York: Agencies
Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Irani, confirmed that the UN Security Council failed to stop the bloodshed in Gaza, despite repeated requests from the international community.
The official IRNA news agency quoted Erwani as saying: “Despite the repeated requests submitted by the international community to the Security Council to fulfill its obligations and stop the bloodshed in Gaza, this organization has once again failed to fulfill its duties solely because of the United States’ opposition to the ceasefire.” .
He added: "The American administration faces a decisive choice. Either it continues on its current path, the path of misleading policies, or it can avoid unconditional support for Israel."
Erwani continued: "Without American support, Israel will face serious problems in continuing acts of violence and genocide against the Palestinian people."
In a related context, Russia's Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Anna Yevstignyeva, stated that the United States, using pressure and blackmail, forced the Security Council to include an "actual license to kill" Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Russia's representative to the UN Security Council, Vasily Nebenzia, previously confirmed that the United States included a dangerous element in the draft resolution it adopted that allows Israel to cleanse the Gaza Strip.
On December 22, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling on Israel and Hamas to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip, and also called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations to appoint a coordinator to deliver this aid.
But the United States thwarted by using its veto power an amendment proposed by Russia to the resolution calling for expanding the delivery of aid in Gaza, which requires a ceasefire in Gaza.
Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have been continuing since October 7, 2023, and the Israeli war on Gaza has, so far, resulted in more than 23,000 deaths and about 60,000 injuries. As announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip earlier on Tuesday.
