Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky blamed Western countries for the increase in the death toll in his country due to the delay in supplying his country with air defense systems.
Zelensky said, in statements reported by the American Al-Hurra channel on Sunday, that the killing of many victims, including a child and a two-year-old infant, could have been avoided in a Russian drone attack yesterday, Saturday, if Ukraine had not faced delays in delivering weapons supplies.
Zelensky said, in a post on the Telegram application earlier: “Russia continues to fight civilians... One of the enemy’s marches hit a residential building in Odessa.”
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on Saturday for the supply of more weapons to his country, especially air defenses, in order not to incur more loss of life.
Zelensky added, in a video speech reported by the TASS news agency, that the rescue operation that took place in the Odessa region, following Russian drone attacks, continued throughout the day, explaining that government emergency services, police, and other services are still at the work site. There is information about people under the rubble.
The Ukrainian president called on the world to supply his country with weapons, saying, “The world has enough missile defense systems, protection systems for Shahed aircraft and missiles. Delaying the supply of weapons to Ukraine and missile defense systems to protect our people leads, unfortunately, to such losses, and to the fact that "The list of children being killed is constantly growing." According to Zelensky, “Ukraine did not ask for more than was necessary to protect lives.”
The Ukrainian president said, "We are preparing for more work with partners - our meetings and negotiations - for weapons for Ukraine, and for continuity of support. Strength is required from everyone and we need to win this battle."
