Nearly 10,000 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank since the beginning of the war... and there was shock at the United Nations due to the Israeli raid on Khan Yunis.

Gaza: Agencies
The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club reported that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 9,655 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7.
The Commission and the Prisoner's Club explained, in a joint statement on Sunday, that this toll includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
They pointed out that during the past two days, the occupation forces arrested at least 30 citizens from the West Bank, including a woman and former prisoners, and the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Jenin, Jericho, and Jerusalem.
In another regard, the United Nations spokesman said that the Secretary-General is shocked and saddened by the loss of life after the Israeli air strikes that struck the Mawasi Khan Yunis area.
In response to journalists' questions, the UN Spokesperson's Office sent a statement in which it indicated that at least 90 people, including children, were killed - according to what was reported - and hundreds of others were injured in a densely populated area "that has been designated as a humanitarian area to shelter displaced people."
The spokesman said that this emphasizes that there is no safe place in Gaza. He added that the Secretary-General condemns the killing of civilians, including women and children.
The UN spokesman noted that the Israeli army said it was targeting two prominent members of the Hamas movement. The spokesman added that the Secretary-General stresses the need to adhere to international humanitarian law, including the principles of distinction, proportionality, and taking precautionary measures during attacks.
The Secretary-General reiterated once again the need to end this war. The spokesman stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for humanitarian reasons and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization said that the organization and its partners are responding to casualties resulting from a series of air strikes on the Al-Mawasi area near Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, which reportedly led to the death of 78 people, the injury of 294, and the loss of many people under the rubble.
The Director-General of the organization, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, said on his account on the X website that 134 seriously injured people were admitted to the Nasser Medical Complex, which is facing great pressure due to the influx of wounded.
The UN official confirmed that World Health Organization staff are present at the hospital, along with two emergency medical teams to treat the injured.
The organization has sent 50 folding beds and 50 stretchers to increase the hospital's capacity, while medicines and trauma supplies previously stockpiled by the World Health Organization are being used to save lives.
The Director-General of the Organization said that some of the wounded were transferred to a field hospital in Deir al-Balah, where the World Health Organization sent medical supplies to cover the urgent needs of 120 patients.
