Brussels: Europe and Arabs
Today, NATO's exercises, which began on October 24, 2024 under the title "Neptune Strike 2024," conclude. According to a statement issued by the alliance's headquarters in Brussels, this heightened vigilance activity is being carried out across Europe, from the central Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, and will continue until October 31, 2024.
During this period, NATO assumed operational control over advanced naval warfare capabilities from several Allies. Including multiple aircraft carriers and expeditionary strike groups that will be deployed in various operational areas.
From October 24 to 31, NEST 24-2 demonstrated the complex integration of joint advanced naval strike capabilities. NATO assumed operational control over multiple aircraft carriers and expeditionary strike groups to support the alliance's deterrence and defense.
In total, some 20 surface ships and submarines, along with special operations forces and numerous aircraft, participated, with nearly 15,000 support personnel.
Countries participating in this NATO deployment included Albania, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. This is a powerful demonstration of the Allies’ ability to work together through NATO to deter and defend, according to a statement from NATO headquarters in Brussels.
