The "Axios" website revealed, according to 3 American officials, that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will present a comprehensive plan for rebuilding and managing Gaza after the end of the Israeli war on the Strip in a speech before the "Atlantic Council" on Tuesday afternoon. Blinken hopes that this plan will become a reference for the next administration led by Donald Trump.
Blinken is approaching the end of his term at the State Department, but he is betting that this plan will be necessary not only for reconstruction but also for building a sustainable administrative structure for the next stage after the end of the war.
The speech will focus on three main axes: reconstruction, security, and reforming the Palestinian Authority. It will also call for Arab and international participation in the reconstruction process, while ensuring a pivotal role for the Palestinian Authority in the future. In addition, he proposes sending international forces to Gaza to help establish security and provide humanitarian aid.
This comes as news circulates that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal are imminent. According to Israeli Channel 13, the agreement is likely to be announced this afternoon, as negotiators meet in Doha to put the finishing touches on ending a bloody war that has killed and traumatized thousands.
Israeli Channel 13 reported that Tel Aviv is trying to reduce the stages of the potential deal and shorten it to two stages instead of three. According to what was published by Euronews in Brussels,
Earlier, the Kan channel reported that the army had dismantled its equipment and bases and withdrawn them from the Netzarim axis, indicating that the Palestinians would be able to return to northern Gaza "without any restrictions."
During the early hours of the morning, sirens sounded in the Jerusalem area, Greater Tel Aviv and the coastal plain as a result of a missile launched from Yemen. The Red Star of David announced that 11 Israelis were injured in the stampede.
For their part, the Houthis said that they had carried out three military operations within 12 hours, one of which targeted the Jaffa area with a ballistic missile, while the Israeli army indicated that it had intercepted it.
