"The Global Alliance will be a platform for exchanging experiences and success stories," is how Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), described the Global Alliance of Entrepreneurs, which was launched by the office in January 2025. According to the United Nations Daily News Bulletin
In a special interview with United Nations News, Dr. Hashim Hussein said that "the alliance is a system or a base for everyone working in entrepreneurship, whether they are institutions working to support entrepreneurship, government ministries, chambers of commerce and industry, universities, research centers, schools, financial institutions, or civil society institutions, in addition to entrepreneurs."
He explained that the alliance was the culmination of the vision of the King of Bahrain in empowering youth and women, which has gone global. Dr. Hussein stressed that the alliance is "a platform that everyone can participate in."
He considered that "the advancement of entrepreneurs and the advancement of everything related to empowering entrepreneurs will contribute greatly to economic development and help enhance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals." Dr. Hussein stressed that all the tools they are working on "are to empower youth and women through entrepreneurship and innovation."

Regarding the nature of the services provided by the Global Entrepreneurship Alliance, Dr. Hashem Hussein said that the Global Alliance will be a platform for exchanging experiences and success stories in the process of supporting and developing micro, small and medium enterprises through entrepreneurship and innovation.
Even the countries of the world have different regions and different countries, and they have means, aid and tools for developing small and medium enterprises, including in European countries, North America, Africa, Asian countries, Arab countries, and so on.

The exchange of these experiences and knowledge will play a very big role in enhancing everything related to entrepreneurship. The strategies developed by some countries or some regions to enhance and develop entrepreneurs; and of course all of them are also linked to achieving the sustainable development goals.
Recent reports have shown that according to what is currently available, there is difficulty in achieving the sustainable development goals, whether in terms of the difficulty of providing the appropriate money, or the alliance of countries, or finding the appropriate mechanisms to achieve the sustainable development goals. We may not reach more than 30 percent of the desired goals.
We believe that the advancement of entrepreneurs and the advancement of everything related to empowering entrepreneurs will greatly contribute to economic development and help promote the achievement of sustainable development goals. Therefore, this platform, the Global Entrepreneurship Alliance, will provide everyone working in the field of entrepreneurship, whether they are government institutions, financial institutions, educational institutions, civil society institutions, and entrepreneurs, with an opportunity to always exchange ideas and experiences, participate in conferences and various exhibitions, and even the role of the United Nations in supporting and promoting entrepreneurship through people, because people are one of the five elements on which the Sustainable Development Goals are based. And when we talk about people, this category is when they are entrepreneurs. Regarding the existence of a specific mechanism for joining the alliance, Dr. Hashim Hussein said: We have what is called the Bahrain Arab Model for Entrepreneurship. Today, we have more than 54 countries applying this model, and there is a continuous increase in the number of those who apply it. The alliance is a platform that everyone can participate in. We have the global platform for innovation and entrepreneurship with the participation and support of the American company Intel Corporation. We will activate this platform with entrepreneurs and service institutions that support entrepreneurs, and support micro, small and medium enterprises. The platform has several programs for entrepreneurs and service institutions, whether educational, research centers, or financial institutions.

This platform or (portal) is our effective tool to activate the International Entrepreneurship Alliance.
